The KLI’s vision is an inclusive society which respects the linguistic and cultural heritage of all and in which everyone has the right to relevant language, communication and education resources.

The mission of the KLI is to provide excellent language services and academic development to institutions and individuals wishing to improve their language proficiency and academic, social and workplace literacies.

The KZN Language Institute is a small and professional institute with a long history. For thirteen years it operated out of University of KwaZulu-Natal and is now an expanding independent non profit organisation. We offer programmes in English as well as various other languages for students, for working people and for travelers.
